Ascleps
werden normalerweise vegetativ über Ableger vermehrt. Da diese
Pflanzenfamilie häufig nicht selbst bestäubend ist, benötigt man für
Bestäubungen zwei verschiedene Individuen. Daher haben wir die Herkunft
unserer Pflanzen (falls wir sie haben) dazu notiert, da die "Neuen" nicht
die gleiche Herkunft haben sollten. Pflanzen mit definierten Fundortangaben
und Ableger von Sämlingen sind immer möglich. Am liebsten wären uns zwei Pflanzen/Ableger von
einem Fundort, um diese spezielle Form erhalten und über Samen weiter
verbreiten zu können. |
Most stapeliads are grown
from a cutting. The plant family is however self-incompatible, which means
that two different individual plants are needed for hand pollination.
Therefore, we note down the origin of our plants (if known), since the new
ones should have a different origin. Plants from defined habitats or scions
out of seedlings are always best. For us, it is ideal to obtain cuttings
from two different plants from a one distinct habitat, so we can preserve
the genetic variation in the seed. |
